Blackpool Sea Defences – Precast manufacturers SLP Concrete Ltd chose Special Formwork to design and manufacture the moulds for the main recurved section of the Sea Wall. These complex moulds had adjustable ends that allowed blocks to be cast with either normal or mitred ends, to enable the blocks to be placed to suit a variety of curves on plan. Main contractor was Birse Construction Ltd.
